Finding My Path: From Drawing to Teaching and Beyond
Share
Since I was a child, I loved to draw. My inspiration came from comics, old movies, and books that fueled my imagination and creativity. As I grew older, I realized that my passion for illustration could be more than just a hobby—it could be a career. I decided to pursue graphic design, a field that allowed me to expand my artistic skills into a profession with more opportunities.
However, being a graphic designer or illustrator isn’t easy. The competition is tough, and freelancing can be unpredictable. As I navigated my way through the challenges of building a career, I asked myself, “What else do I love to do?” The answer was simple: I love helping people.
This led me to become a teacher and mentor at a middle school, where I now teach art and design. It’s a role that allows me to inspire young minds while staying connected to my own creativity. I continue to work as a freelance visual artist, which remains the most challenging part of my journey. I dedicate time to my personal artwork, including illustrations, paintings, and designs that reflect my love for animals, movies, music, nature, and more.
Being Catalan, gay, and an immigrant, I’ve faced my share of discrimination. These experiences have deepened my commitment to supporting minorities through my art. I believe that art can be a powerful tool for expression and change, and I want to use it to uplift and empower those who feel marginalized.
In addition to my work in art and design, I’ve found another way to help people—through fitness. I got a certification in personal training. I love to train, and I believe there is a deep connection between the body and mind. By focusing on physical well-being, I hope to help others find balance and strength in their lives.
Ultimately, I focus on the key elements of happiness: cultivating my mind through creativity, nurturing my body through exercise, helping others, and practicing kindness. And one thing remains true—I never stop learning.
This journey is a blend of passion, purpose, and persistence. Whether through art, teaching, or personal training, I’m dedicated to growing and helping others grow along the way.
